We must bring this thread back!! It's so wonderful, Bree I lurrrve Lost Coastlines and OR and you!! A few weeks back I had to stop listening to it because I would play it back to back to back tobacktobacktoback. Then I totally forgot about it and am listened to it as soon as I saw this. <33

&& Killian that's probably my favorite Kate Nash song. I've read alot of crap reviews on it/her but forget that. If you haven't yet, check out her singing it @ Troubador and also @ Book Slam. Both are available on youtube and are very different. In one she plays guitar and the other keyboard and they just have different feels to them. I find some of her lines just breathtaking like "shiny floor slippery feet, light so dim my eyes cant meet the reflection that turns my images upside down so i can see." Kate also reminds me of Chantal, it's probably because they're both from across the pond but c'mon they look a bit alike, eh?

The song I can't stop listening to is: The Wanting Comes In Waves by The Decemberists

The album it's off of, The Hazards of Love, is the best new record I've heard drop all year. It's a concept album which takes place in a mystical woodland setting featuring Becky Stark's beautifully shrill high pitch vocals as a woman named Margaret and Shara Worden's hauntingly deep and powerful voice as a forest queen. It's like you didn't think any female could compare to what was done on The Crane Wife and accenting Colin Meloy's voice, but this is just on a whole new level.

Those are the lyrics that I find the most impressive as well! Her voice is just so dainty and that little vibrato she does and the way her voice breaks at times in Dickhead sound really good! I bought her Album in Enniskillen and I'm glad I did buy it. What are your other Kate Nash favourites?

When Santogold was still going by that name, some dude claimed that he already had a large following under that name. So she just changed her stage name to Santigold.
Yeah, her entire album is amazing. I saw her live back in September, and it was by far the best concert I've ever attended.

it took me 4 years to locate their album which is actually like 7 years old because it was only released in their homeland and it flopped miserably but i'm a sucker for girlly powerpop.
