Bree gets kind-of-real post show work!
My buddy Jordana is building her portfolio for HF makeup. This was the ifrst of many shoots we will do all summer. We're planning another with cheeta spots on my eyes.
Most of the pictures were of just my eyes so I'm not going to post all of those.
There were a few that we weren't using for her portfolio and aren't particularily great pictures of me but they looked so cool with the scenery. And it was cool because my friend Imogen just painted the alley walls that I was posing on.
Oh, we also took a few pictures of my tattoo.
So here they are!
Um, so I'm not sure what to think of this, but I kind of think I'm starting to look like Kristen Stewart.
We need to retouch the vein in my forehead, but these two are my FAVOURITE.

Fankssssss Leigh. The one where I'm over my shoulder is Jordana's favourite too.
We're going to buy blo-pens and literally make me up with markers next week.

Is there a reason you don't try out for CNTM?

Aww, thanks Joey and Bfoster! And yes, according to my drivers license I'm 170 cms which is not quite 5'7". Sad, yes, especially because I loooove runway-walking. I runway-walk down the hall at work all the time.

You are 5'6 and apparently you think you are too shoot, hmm interesting. I guess Devon Aoki is too short, Kate Moss is too short, Eva Pigford is too short.

Re: Bree gets kind-of-real post show work!
Devon Aoki, Kate Moss, and Eva Pigford all had luck and other factors on their side. Devon Aoki and Kate Moss are extremely stunning. Much as I feel beautiful I know that there are plenty of faces like mine who stand a few inches taller than me, so at a casting they'll likely do better. The only thing I have going is how young I look; I could work forever if someone gave me the chance.
Plus, much as I LOVE modeling for FUN, I don't see it as a career that would make me entirely happy. I enjoy doing stuff with my friends, and I have one small job the third weekend in August (doing pictures for Leo's Dancewear) and I like kind of, I guess... "pretending" to model. I could never do anything like it for months or years at a time. I'm in school now to be a teacher and I absolutely LOVE what I'm studying, so I'll just keep taking pictures on the side while I do that.

Bree, you're so fabulous.
fabulous.
love the pictures.
what i like about them is the difference in your face. for some reason, in Cycle 2, a lot of you pictures came off as you with "average pretty girl" face and in these photos, there's something different, like you're odd features stick out more and you're face is more unique looking. lovez it.

Thanks Jonny. I think my bone structure is starting to come out more - I used to be all chubby-cheeked and plate-like like Natalie. Also, I posed face-on a lot in C2 because I was afraid of making my big chin look bigger. Now I'm all like, "Yeah, feel the wrath of the butt chin!"
Karasu can take care of my dog who's pictures I slip into my go-see portfolio.

Ughhhh bfoster that is the WORST excuse EVER.
Please, they are in the minority. They are the extreme exception to the rule. Short girls do NOT work with any kind of regularity. Kate Moss and Devon Aoki are exceptions...most agencies accept shorter Asian models because as a race, Asian people are shorter in general, and that is a legitimate fact, as most agencies do have it written clearly on their applications/websites. That cancels out your use of Devon Aoki as an example.
Eva Pigford doesn't work outside of commericial stuff, if she even books anything at all. She's transitioned into acting and commercial stuff more than the fashion/runway stuff because she is TOO SHORT to do that. Being short is not going to work in the industry. Yes, 5'7 is too short, even for someone like Bree with a fantastic face. Kate Moss works because her face is one in a million, and not to demean Bree's beauty, but Kate Moss has a really unique face that is comparable to other working models three to four inches taller than her.
It is very, very, VERY naive to use the two largest exceptions to the rule as examples when saying short models would work.

The upside down ones totally remind me of ANTMs mermaid shoot in Thailand. Beautiful, I want to see more inverted Bree!

Yep, Joey's right. I mean, I'd vouch for Shorties Rights if it weren't a total lost cause, but it is, kind of. I'm just happy being a normal height girl who only turns into a model when her friends whip out their Nikons.
But I GUESS you could count my Leo's job as catalog work.
And... thanks, Jeraldo! I like being upside-down. I think it makes my eyes look like they're a totally different shape.

Leo's Dancewear.
I'll be modeling bodysuits, tights, accessories, and a few costumes for their 2009-2010 season Canadian Competition Catalog.
