PHOTOSHOOT BRIEF #1

Hello model hopefuls!!! It is time to assign your very first photoshoot woot!!

As you may have already realised, there is no Tyra Mail this week. That will commence next week!

Now, as you may all know, the photoshoots of INTM follow a different theme each cycle.

Cycle 1- Shoots from ANTM
Cycle 2- Shoots inspired by popular culture.
Cycle 3- Shoots from NTMs of the world.

Now, for the announcement of theme for this cycle!!!

The shoots will all be inspired by….




Post-Show and Pre-Show work from the contestants of ANTM!!! All the pictures can be found at www.all-antm.net! From Elyse to Analeigh, we have a wide range of exciting shoots for you this cycle, as well as TWO special INTM firsts! But more on those later!

Now, to your very first photoshoot!!!

It is the beginning of a new cycle and we have 13 new contestants! This week is all about the judges discovering your creativity, understanding of fashion and also your potential to be a top model. Which is why you will be doing TWO very different, yet slightly similar shoots!

It is called:

Commercial/Couture Circus.
Inspired by a shoot of one of the most popular ANTM characters,

LISA!!!
Here are the shots:





This week, we are going to test your commercial appeal and your high fashion appeal. Both shoots will be CIRCUS themed!!
For the commercial shoot, we want to see you happy, smiling, laughing, joking around, being goofy, basically just having fun! Don’t just stand there and laugh, have a set and a purpose within that set, create a situation and a story. This shoot must be done in COLOUR.
For the high fashion shoot, we want you to add a creepy circus element into it, make it a bit darker and scary and edgy and spooky and FIERCE!!! I also want you to incorporate some sort of prop into the shot, something a bit kooky or spooky, just like Lisa’s cockroach! This shoot must be done in GREYSCALE/BLACK & WHITE.
DO NOT just wear a clown suit! Make it fashion, because remember, you are selling the CLOTHES! The clothes should be colourful, bright and fun. At least one of the shots must be a full body shot, it is up to you whether the other one is close up or not.
You may send in SIX frames (photographs) for each shoot. Send them to me via PM on this form. Also, you must upload the pics to tinypic or photobucket and make sure there isnt a password for the album!!! DO NOT upload them to myspace or facebook and give me the link, as I usually cant acess them.
I am giving you until May 17th to complete these shoots, but I urge that you get it done ASAP (coz I am impatient lol). Dont rush it though haha. And don’t hesitate to ask for advice. Use the pictures given to you above as a guide of what we are looking for.

If you have read the rules(which you should all have by now), you will also know I am giving you something else for inspiration- A Sountrack!!! Here are the songs you may like to use to inspire you during your shoot. Remember, this is just for fun and isn’t compulsory!

AND GUYS, REMEMBER THIS FOR EVERY SHOOT TO COME:

I really do urge you guys to think about EVERYTHING within your photographs- not just your face and body but makeup, wardrobe, props, set, lighting, contrast, composition etc. All of these things can greatly effect the final mood or feel of a photograph, so be sure to think about all these things and experiment with different elements every week. The person who makes it to the end will be the person who has proven to understand what a great fashion shot looks like and what response it will cause in the viewer. Make it INTERESTING and remember you are always selling an idea, a product and YOURSELVES!

omg. im freaking out. im totally planning this shit NOW. is makeup necessary? im not sure if i have any.

Its not neccessary, no.

Unless otherwise specified,it is always up to the models to make their own decision about whether makeup will work with the shot or not!

so do the pictures have to be full body or can they be torso/chest/neck up?

oh and remember to use stripes for the creepy one!!

Bonus points for top hats, and cotton candy as hair!

Yay! 1st photoshoot is posted. Perfect, just perfect. I'll have to travel some places.

is it bad that im kinda almost done?? I havent taken the pictures yet, but i have my wardrobe, setting, and props ready. lol.
