Cycle 4 Judging discussion

ok. Maybe its just me... but I think this board gets dead every now and then. So... I'm gonna start a new thread for judging panel discussion. Basically... Lets just talk about how we THINK we are going to do... how the photo shoot experience was... blah blah blah.
Hopefully i get some input besides myself (Ann... im looking at you. )

For this 2nd photo shoot, I'm really nervous for judging panel. I had to do TWO separate shoots to represent "Operation." I did a more literal shoot... But i also did a shoot where Operation wasn't exactly main focus. It was hard for me to do operation AND sell the product at the same time. But... im confident that i got some good shots.
Anyone else struggle with the shoot...? OR... does anyone think they totally kicked ass....

I'm just worried for this shoot because Ann and I haven't had the opportunity to do it yet. We were going to do it today if we had the chance, but I stayed home sick today. I know that Ann can definitely deliver a shot, though, and she's really enthusiastic about the competition, so I hope we can find the time soon this week.

My main worry is being written off as the person whose picture sucked last week (haha), because I know for a fact that those pictures did not depict my potential.

I was Monopoly for this shoot. I think I did much better than last week. I was definitely more creative with the whole shoot. I wasn't sure as to what kind of picture the judges would like, so I just submitted shots with varying poses, settings, expressions, etc. Choosing pictures was SO HARD this week, because there were so many different kinds of pictures that I loved for different reasons. I really hope that my hard work shows, because I really did try hard this week. I guess we'll have to see when panel is posted! I'm just nervous about my shot being compared to Emma's because we share a theme this week.

I hope Ann doesn't get penalized, because I know that her picture is going to be absolutely amazing; that would really suck for her

But you have sooo much potential that I'm confident ur gonna pull out an amazing shot.. sooner or later. lol.

hmm... i wonder if the callouts are gonna be like cycle 5's country couture shoot. The thing where the best pic out of the pair gets called first. im gonna speculate who's gonna win each photo shoot:

Candyland- Ann, Amber: I think Ann is gonna win this one. BUT... since she's submitting late... im not so sure.

Clue- Audrey, Dani: Not sure. I'm gonna give it to Dani.

Monopoly- Chris, Emma: Not sure either. :/ ... Emma had best photo last week... But Chris has potential.

Mouse Trap- Jack, Kristin: Jack. Jack. Jack. lol.

Operation- Laura, Victor: I wanna say MYSELF... lol... but she IS Karasu sister. Maybe she might kick ass like her bro.

Twister- Wendy, Xander: hmm... this is tough. Im going with Wendy. Her pics last week were <3 <3 <3

i could cry every time i think about this shoot.
just because of all the crap thats going on this week that is making me miss out on truly 'getting into' the shoot! and i haven't been able to shoot yet, and am facing the coming reality of trying to take my own picture with a crap background. AGH. i feel like crying. (that might sound insane. but i think its mood swings. idk).

Erik and I were going to shoot today, but Erik don't feel bad, because I've been sick this week too. (and mood swinging etc on top of that. FUN).
AND stupid finals are going on. AND college shit AND graduation shit AND parent-parent, parent-me drama AND AND AND *head desk* i'm just frustrated because i REALLY want to go far in the competition. its all so overwhelming. each individual obstacle seems so trivial and mundane, but its like life is fight back at the moment.

slash wow this entire post turned into a whiney rant. i'm sorry. just ignore all of this.

I noticed that a few days ago. I turn 20 on thursday. I'm leaving philly to stay at a friends house 100 miles away... im getting trashed, and partying the WHOLE night. lol. I might not be able 2 see judging panel until like late friday OR saturday. but going by the previous panel... im sure i'll have to wait a while for it anyway.... lol.
And senior yr of high schoool can be really stressful... dont let screw with u tho. Ann.. you'll be fine. Just do as best as u can. I'm sure u wont be eliminated. (wait... am i allowed 2 say that?? LOL)

Im in my junior year now, finishing it up, about to go into senior year.

why is it sressful, is it because its the end?

lol my senior year was funnn. i didnt go to class ever and it was mainly just parties and graduation

honestly.. ur Senior IS supposed to be like a fun ride... but there ARE some stressful aspects... namely all the college stuff. High school was lame for me, BUT i will admit senior year was my fav. I put in half the effort and got basically straight As. PLUS my track team won the State Championship. anyway... whatever Ann is going thru probably sucks, but Senior year should be a blast.

well if they havnt they should get done for it

last cycle we had like 3 days in which i had an exam but i still delivered it

and some people didnt even have camera people but used a timer

so nothings impossible

yeah. i work alone on all my shoots. We had like SEVEN days to get everything 2gether... im sorry but... thats more than enough time.

I did most of my shoots at night or on my days off and it took like an hour.

Some people dont even follow the brief which really annoys me

anyway... so... will the Judges be penalizing late contestants this week...? or will there be another warning?? LOL.

well if you sent in both sweet should pick the one that fits the brief better

and they should be penalized! like was said earlier people have had to deal with worse things to take a picture then having it all laid out

Are the judges allowed to tell us how many people haven't sent in their pictures yet? I'm not asking for names or anything, though!
