JUDGING PANEL #8

Hello Final 3 and welcome to your Eighth Judging Panel! By the end of today, we will know who has made it to our Final 2!

It has been a long road for all of us, but we are finally here! The last Judging Panel!

Your task this week was to show off your creativity and ability to connect with an extreme beauty shot involving the odd placement of a shoe. Lets see how you all did!


WENDY, you are first this week!



Firebolt: This is a very interesting picture. The shape of your face appears kind of strange but it still works. I think you're the odds-on favorite to win granted you survive this week.
Bree: I adore the eyes and the shoe. Everything else? Uh, it's not your strongest. It's just a bad angle. No one looks particularly good at this kind of fish-eye perspective, so you look as good as you can, I guess. It's not that it's a bad picture, your features just haven't photographed as entirely STUNNING - which they normally do. You took a risk, but I'm not sure if it worked for me.
Nigel: like how you're styled and what you're doing with the shoe and the eye, but yeah I agree with Bree. The way you're pushing your chin forward makes you look weird. What you should have done was bring down the chin a little bit, so you wouldn't be that close to the camera and such.
Cozy: I really like the styling here and your facial expression. However I do agree with Bree that this angle is bad. There is no neck, and the extreme closeness of the face makes your shoulder span look really narrow and hunched. That being said, I think you've pulled off looking fashionable and modelesque in this shot.
SweetTyra: Initially I agreed with everyone else about the angle, but the more I looked at it, the more I liked it because although it is a little odd, I think it really works with the whole setting and styling. I am LOVIN the connection with the eyes, they just pierce through you. What I love about you is that every week, you look almost completely different. You are very versatile. In the beginning, we saw you cute and sweet and sad, and over the past few weeks, this fierce high fashion girl has just emerged from within. The placement of the shoe was done very creatively, its almost like a futuristic eye patch haha. I will be very surprised if you arent in our Top 2, you have just been consistently impressive lately, well done.


JACK, youre next!



Cozy: This is a really bizarre shot, cuz it looks like the shoe is holding you down against your will. I like the look in your eye, but the arm position is very stiff and disconnected with the product. If you had worked with the shoe more and interacted with it instead of it dominating you like that, this would be a very different shot.
Firebolt: Over all this is a nice picture, but like cozy said the shoe looks like its forcing you down and your pose and lips are extremely stiff. The only place I sense a gracefulness is your eye.
Nigel: I like the picture, and yeah I agree with Cozy and Mark when they say that it looks like the shoe's pushing you down, but I kinda like that. I like what you're doing with your face. It's a bit reminiscent of your mouse trap picture. My only negative is the shoulders. You're pushing them back, and it looks kinda awkward. I would have really liked a more hunched position.
Bree: First off, never noticed your lip ring. Hot. What I like about this is you're the only one who really thought about what KIND of shoe they were selling. You're selling a skater shoe and you look manly, defiant, and a bit of a rebel. There's a sexiness in your eyes that I feel we've been lacking from you lately, so good job. I like the "snooty" facture that Nigel (Barker, not "Nigel") always talks about.
SweetTyra: I didnt think this was your best week in terms of options for me to choose from. A lot of the pictures were very goofy and amatuer looking, something I only ever saw in your pre-show pictures, so I was disappointed to see it return. However, I agree with Bree about your expression here, it is very commanding and strong. It WAS only supposed to be a tight beauty shot with head and shoulders, but I did like the idea of having it on your chest, its shown off very well and I could see the set up in this image used in an ad.


LAURA, you are next!



SweetTyra: Its a pretty picture, but I wish you had done a little more, something a little different and more creative with your styling. Weve kinda seen this from you before, weve seen this hair and weve seen this face. At this stage, you really needed to show us something different, something more dynamic. I just feel that this shot doesnt really have a purpose or a character and it makes me feel kind of disconnected from you. I really love your facial structure and your eyes, but you didnt work these things to your advantage and I dont see any growth or development.
Bree: This is cute. That's all I can really say about it. Cute. It's fun, but it's not interesting. You made a cute face and stuck a shoe there. I don't see a model in this, I see "playing" model. I was really thinking after last week you'd give us something raw and different but this is the most unoriginal of the three shots. I'm disappointed. You're so pretty you can afford to give us something more than "pretty."
Cozy: Yeah, this isn't as edgy as it could be. I really love how luminous your skin and eyes are; your face reacts to makeup very well and is good for beauty shots like this. Perhaps I would like it more if you were staring into the camera, as it is too...self aware? I think that's what makes it look amateur.
Nigel: I gotta say, this is really a very pretty picture, but there's nothing really great about it, you know? This is final 3, so this would be the time where all of you have to wow us, but you're not doing that. It's a fun, pretty picture but other than that, there's nothing :/
Firebolt: I think I'm the only judge this week who thinks this is the best picture in the bunch. I really sense a connection in your eyes and I think this is one of your prettiest pictures to date. I would buy that shoe from you.

Laura, you started off the competition quite weak and timid, but with every week comes more confidence and more power in your shots. This week, however, you failed to take it to the next level. You rested on pretty and didnt create an interesting shot

Jack, you have been the most consistent contestant in probably the whole history of INTM. This week, your face was strong, but the image as a whole was not dynamic enough and it left the judges uninspired.

Wendy, you are the queen of versatility in this competition. The most number one callouts and some of the fiercest, most dynamic shots this cycle. But the questionable angle in your last shot left the judges wondering whether you really have that instinctual modeling bone in you.
